Volunteers

Volunteers are a core component of the SAVI team and crucial to achieving our goal of strengthening stepfamilies. Volunteers perform a range of tasks and are active at all levels of the organisation. Committee of Management volunteers are responsible for governance and providing strategic direction. Volunteers also assist in areas of fundraising, PR & marketing.

Graphic design volunteers assist with the design of brochures and other printed material. Volunteers directly contribute to website redevelopment. Many volunteers are involved in the newsletter, assisting with researching, writing, editing and desktop publishing.

Office administration volunteers assist with photocopying, collating, mailouts and data entry. Volunteers assist with book keeping, processing payments for books and courses. Helpline volunteers provide counselling, information and referral.

Volunteers are generally involved on an ongoing basis but also in short-term projects. Examples include specifc evaluation/ research projects; and implementation of National Stepfamily Awareness Day.
