Stepfamily Counselling

What is it?

Counselling offers you an opportunity to discuss and explore your thoughts and feelings in order to find new ways of dealing with stepfamily issues and relationships.

Who comes to counselling?

Individuals, couples and families in all their diversity who want to develop and maintain safe, supportive and nurturing relationships.

Counselling about a relationship can be more helpful when both partners are present, however, you can come by yourself if your partner is unable to attend.

Why a counsellor?

Our trained counsellors provide a confidential, non-judgemental service free of the constraints of friendships and family relationships and are sensitive to the unique issues faced by stepfamilies.

Stepfamilies Australia provides a service which is confidential and includes appropriate professional supervision consultation with counselling supervisors. We reserve the right to report serious risk situations to appropriate authorities.

You can contact Stepfamilies Australia on (03) 9639 6611 to make an appointment with a counsellor or for more information.
